Sil van de Leemput is a Research Scientist RTC Deep Learning at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group from August 2019. He is a member of the RTC working on deep learning projects with a focus on chest CT. This project is partially funded by and carried out in close collaboration with MeVis Medical Solutions (MMS). This project has resulted in the release of Veolity, an efficient workstation for reading lung CT scans. His supervisors are Colin Jacobs and Ajay Patel.

Before his current position Sil worked as a PhD candidate on Computer Aided Diagnosis in acute stroke at the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group. In 2010, Sil obtained a Bachelor of Technology (with Honours) in Design for Virtual Theater and Games at the University of the Arts Utrecht. Subsequently, he studied Artificial Intelligence at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, for which he obtained his Bachelor degree in 2013 (Cum Laude) and his Master degree in 2015 (Cum Laude).
