Research Software Engineer
Marco Marra is a Research Software Engineer in the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group at Radboudumc. He holds a MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and a PhD in Medical Sciences from Radboud University. He has worked for three years as an assistant professor in Biomechanical Engineerging at the University of Twente in Enschede. In his previous research he developed personalized musuloskeletal models to improve knee surgery. His interest for software development made him switch to software engineering and he joined the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group under the supervision of James Meakin and Colin Jacobs. He is involved in the development of CIRRUS, CIRRUS Lung Screening and Grand-challenge.org.
