Marco Marra

Marco Marra worked as Research Software Engineer in the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group at Radboudumc. He holds a MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Turin) and a PhD in Medical Sciences from Radboud University (Nijmegen). He was formerly Assistant Professor in Biomechanical Engineerging at the University of Twente (Enschede), where he developed personalized musuloskeletal models to improve knee surgery. In 2021, his interest and affinity for programming had him switch to a software engineering career and he joined the RSE Team in the Diagnostic Image Analysis Group under the supervision of James Meakin and Colin Jacobs. At DIAG, he worked on CIRRUS Lung Screening, a workstation for lung cancer screening research, and was involved in the development of CIRRUS and Grand-challenge.org.
