Haimasree Bhattacharya
Haimasree was a Research Software Engineer at Diagnostic Image Analysis Group from April 2018 until July 2020. She holds a PhD in Computer Graphics from University of Utah. Prior to joining DIAG, Haimasree worked as a Technical Lead at Samsung Research Institute Bangalore, India and as a Scientific co-worker at Forschungszentrum Juelich, Germany. IN DIAG, she was a member of research and software development team working on automatic detection and characterization of lung nodules in chest CT. This project is partially funded by and carried out in close collaboration with MeVis Medical Solutions (MMS). This project has resulted in the release of Veolity, an efficient workstation for reading lung CT scans. Her supervisors were Colin Jacobs and James Meakin.
